Timeline.

You need to know that after all your “selections” of materials has happened, it takes time for them to be delivered. Installation times can vary depending on materials used. Each trade will take their time to make sure that the outcome is to your standard. Sometimes these trades are sub-contracted out, you must keep in mind there may be delays before everyone’s schedule may align.

Displacement.

You may feel a little out of place while your remodel is happening. It can be hard not having a functioning kitchen or bathroom. You will have very limited access to these parts of your home while the work is being done. Remember this is a process and the outcome is worth a little discomfort while the transformation happens.

Cost.

You should familiarize yourself with general pricing of materials when considering taking on a remodeling project. If you are wanting quality materials, expect the price to reflect that as well.
